Volume I, Edition 1: Our very first Hunting with Hank adventure took us to the Kenai Mountains of Alaska. My father-in-law Don Swift joined Hank and me for a Willow Ptarmigan hunt. Volume I, Edition 2: Hank and I were joined by my father Frank Young and my son Glenn Young for a "three generation" Pheasant hunt in eastern Oregon. Volume I, Edition 3: Hank, Don Swift and I returned to the Kenai Mountains for another bird hunt, this time for Rock Ptarmigan. Volume I, Edition 4: Hank and I spent a wonderful day together in eastern Oregon hunting Chukar Partridge on the rocky, barren slopes where they thrive. Volume I, Edition 5: My wife Karenanne Swift joined Hank and me for a Bobwhite Quail hunt in California at the Red Bank Ale & Quail Gamebird Club in Red Bluff 1-916-529-9435 Volume I, Edition 6: On another trip to California, Hank, Karenanne and I spent another day together searching for Bobwhite Quail. Volume I, Edition 7: Hank and I went on a unique hunt in the forests of the Kenai area of Alaska. We devoted the entire hunt to finding one "pointable" Spruce Grouse! Volume II, Edition 1: In our first trip to the Alaska peninsula Hank and I were joined by "Butch" King on a wonderful Willow Ptarmigan hunt 500 miles from the nearest road. Volume II, Edition 2: In an extremely strong wind storm Hank and I take a second hunt for Willow Ptarmigan on the Alaska peninsula. Volume II, Edition 3: Dave Meisner, Editor and Publisher of The Wildwood Press, publishers of The Pointing Dog Journal and The Retriever Journal joined Hank and me for a day in Montana searching for Hungarian Partridge. Dave has since passed away. He is greatly missed. Volume II, Edition 4: In the high open country of Oregon my wife Karenanne Swift, her brother Don Swift, Hank and I hunted for a variety of upland birds. During the day we find Pheasants, Chukar Partridge, Valley Quail and Bobwhite all within walking distance of our lodge. Volume II, Edition 5: On our second hunt in Montana for Hungarian Partridge, Hank and I were joined by a truly remarkable gentleman. Ben O. Williams, noted outdoor author and photographer spent the day with us showing us his beloved Montana countryside. Volume II, Edition 6: In our first trip to Wyoming Hank and I were joined once again by my father, Frank Young, as we searched for Sage Grouse in the high desert at an elevation of 7,000 feet. Volume II, Edition 7: My friend Steve Owen, the designer of the Quilomene Upland Bird vest joined Hank and me for this exciting day of Chukar and Hungarian Partridge hunting in the high plains and steep canyons of Wyoming. Volume II, Edition 8: The person who taught me to shoot and who was a skeet shooting champion in the state of Oregon joined Hank and me for a wonderful day of Pheasant hunting in central Oregon. My mother, Kay Young, was my very special guest on this trip. This episode was awarded a "Telly", Cable TV's equivalent of an Emmy, for
outstanding quality in programming. Volume III, Edition 1: Central California in late winter Hank and I hunted for California Valley Quail. Volume III, Edition 2: In the deserts of southeast Arizona Hank and I searched for the beautiful cousin of the Valley Quail -- Gambel's Quail. Volume III, Edition 3: My father-in-law, Don Swift, joined Hank and me in central California near the Pinnacles National Monument. The three of us spent an enjoyable day hunting Pheasant, Chukar, Hungarian Partridge and Quail. Volume III, Edition 4: Near Mt. Blanca in southern Colorado Hank and I took in a late winter Pheasant hunt in the midst of incredible scenery. This episode was recently honored with two awards by the prestigious
Outdoors Writers Association of America. It took first place overall in the
Recreation/Promotion Category, and was awarded "Best Cinematography" in the
same category. Volume III, Edition 5: Hank and I returned to the southeastern Arizona desert for another try for Gambel's Quail after we searched for the elusive Mearn's Quail of the desert mountains. Volume III, Edition 6: In a late winter Chukar partridge hunt Hank and I hunted under a beautiful blue Colorado sky near Mt. Blanca. In this hunt Hank pointed a Chukar for me while he was framed by Mt. Blanca in the background. It's one of the best memories I have of Hank on this or any other trip. Volume III, Edition 7: Near Delta Junction, Alaska in the interior my father-in-law, Don Swift, and I followed Hank through the rich earth and fields of this area on a hunt for Sharptail Grouse. Volume III, Edition 8: From Chinook, Montana, Hank and I hunted the wide open "Big Sky Country" for Sharptail Grouse. My cousin, Gary Isaac, joined us for the hunt. During a rest period in the day Hank had one of his most imaginative dreams! Volume III, Edition 9: In the mountains of Delta Junction, Alaska my father-in-law, Don Swift, and I followed Hank as he looked for Ruffed Grouse. To finish off the day we dropped into the valley floor in search of other opportunities. Volume III, Edition 10: In the beautiful fields of southwestern Idaho my wife, Karenanne Swift and I hunted for Pheasants behind Hank. The weather was fantastic and the birds were exciting. Volume III, Edition 11: Montana guide Larry Surber of L.S. Adventures joined Hank and me for a combination Sharptail Grouse and Sage Grouse hunt. Volume III, Edition 12: Long-time fly fishing buddy Joel Narva came along on this Idaho Chukar Partridge hunt to watch Hank work. At first he just took pictures of Hank but decided to try his hand at hunting with a shotgun. Volume III, Edition 13: Two young men who first hunted with Hank when they were teenagers joined Hank and me for this Pheasant hunt in eastern Oregon. They have grown into responsible hunters and nice young men. It was a pleasure to get Dave Corley and David Fineran together for this day afield with Hank. Volume IV, Edition 1: From southern California Hank and I hunted for the native California Valley Quail, just sixty miles north of the Los Angeles area! Volume IV, Edition 2: My cousin, Gary Isaac returned to join Hank and me near his home in eastern Oregon for a late winter Pheasant hunt. It was on this hunt that Hank proved he can actually swim when there are birds to retrieve! Volume IV, Edition 3: One of my favorite hunting partners, my father-in-law Don Swift joined me to hunt Pheasants with Hank in southern California. Volume IV, Edition 4: From the Land of Enchantment, New Mexico, Hank and I searched for the rarest quail in North America, the Mearn's Quail. Our thanks to the New Mexico Department of Fish and Game for their assistance on this hunt. Volume IV, Edition 5: In our first trip to the south Hank and I were joined by my wife Karenanne Swift and her brother, Jim. She hadn't seen Jim in almost six years so it was a very special trip for her. Hank and I were just glad to be along as she and her brother enjoyed this day in Mississippi with each other. Volume IV, Edition 6: Frequent guest Don Swift returned to join Hank and me for a mixed bag hunt of Chukar Partridge and Bobwhite Quail in southern California. It was on this trip, during a break in the day, that I gave Don his first fly fishing lesson in a beautiful pond. Volume IV, Edition 7: For the first time my daughter Stacy came along on a hunting trip with Hank and me. Her brother Glenn joined us for this late season Pheasant hunt in eastern Oregon. They get along great but they do disagree on which of my two grandchildren I love the most. Volume IV, Edition 8: In the deserts of central New Mexico, near Socorro Hank I took our first hunt for Scaled Quail. Our thanks to the New Mexico Department of Fish and Game for their assistance on this hunt. Volume IV, Edition 9: On our second Bobwhite Quail hunt in Mississippi Hank and I hunted the field edges and open forest to supply the chef with enough birds for a southern style Quail feast! Volume IV, Edition 10: Near Lone Pine, California Hank and I hunted Pheasants within walking distance of a place you've probably seen, even if you haven't been there. The Alabama Hills, where hundreds of cowboy movies have been made. This provided a wonderful break during a great day of hunting. Volume IV, Edition 11: In our last hunt from New Mexico Hank and I made another attempt to find the elusive Mearn's Quail in the high mountains above the desert. Then we moved to the desert floor for the afternoon. Volume IV, Edition 12: On a cold windy, winter day my friend Joel Narva joined Hank and me for a Pheasant hunt. Joel harvested his first pheasant on this trip. Also, at the end of the day, Hank provided some of the most exciting moments of any hunting trip by tracking a Pheasant through the wind for a considerable distance before he was able to point and hold him. Volume IV, Edition 13: This was Hank's homecoming trip. He and I went to Enola, Arkansas to hunt Quail where he was born. Along the way we met his father and one of his own puppies in addition to learning more about the Llewellin Setter's history. Volume V, Edition 1: Dez, his wife Karenanne, and Hank hunt Pheasant in Southwest Texas, near San Antonio, home of the Alamo. Volume V, Edition 2: Dez's long time business associate and friend, Carl Donovan, joins Dez and Hank for a late winter Pheasant/Chukar hunt in beautiful Utah. Volume V, Edition 3: Joel Narva, Dez's flyfishing buddy teams up with Dez and Hank to hunt Chukar in the wide open country of Eastern Washington. Volume V, Edition 4: Manchurian Pheasants (literally from the Province of Manchuria China) are the quarry for Hank, Dez and his father-in-Law, Don Swift. Volume V, Edition 5: Along the mighty Columbia River, Dez and his brother-in law Donnie Swift join Hank for a foggy Eastern Oregon Pheasant/Chukar hunt. Volume V, Edition 6: On a rare day when just Dez and Hank get into the field together, they hunt for Hungarian Partridge in Southwest Texas. Volume V, Edition 7: During a cold, snowy, winter day in Utah, Dez and Hank hunt the unique Melanistic Pheasant, then Hank experiences his first hunt with a Falcon instead of a shotgun. Volume V, Edition 8: First appearing in Volume III, Edition 13, two of Dez's favorite young men, Dave Corley and David Fineran return to join Dez and Hank for a Pheasant/Chukar hunt in beautiful Eastern Washington. Volume V, Edition 9: Dez's father-in law rejoins Dez and Hank in the gorgeous Southeastern California desert. This time they are looking for Hungarian and Chukar Partridge. Volume V, Edition 10: Near Dez's home town of Pendleton, Oregon, he and his cousin Gary Issac take a mixed bag late season upland hunt with Hank. Volume V, Edition 11: Hank's portrait artist, Chris Smith, joins Dez and Hank in Texas for a Southwest Bobwhite Quail hunt. Volume V, Edition 12: As winter storms move across the sky, Dez and Hank take a final late season hunt for Chukar and Pheasant, also exploring Petroglyphs in the area. Volume V, Edition 13: Dez and Hank end the season with a hunt for Bobwhite Quail in the beautiful Southeastern California desert. Volume VI, Edition 1: Steve Owen (designer of the Quilomene vest) joins Hank and Dez for the opening program of the 6th and final season of Hunting With Hank. The Sandhills of Nebraska is the location...sharptail Grouse and Prairie Chickens are the quarry. Volume VI, Edition 2: Hank and Dez travel to Minnesota for an early season Pheasant
hunt. Volume VI, Edition 3: Steve Smith (Publisher of The Pointing Dog Journal) joins
Hank and Dez for the opening of an incredible Pheasant season in North Dakota. Volume VI, Edition 4: In the beautiful state of Wisconsin, Hank and Dez spend the
day together hunting for Pheasants. Volume VI, Edition 5: In Nebraska, Hank and Dez return to the Sandhills for another
day of Sharptail Grouse and Prairie Chicken hunting. Volume VI, Edition 6: On a warm and bright early fall
day during a return trip to Minnesota, Hank and Dez search for Pheasants surrounded by beautiful farm country. Volume VI, Edition 7: Dez's long-time friend Jim Johnson spends a day with Hank and Dez
hunting Pheasants in the state of North Dakota. Volume VI, Edition 8:: Alabama is often over-looked by quail hunters, but Hank and Dez find great Bobwhite Quail hunting on this trip to the heart of the South. another one of his favorite outdoor activities when he joins Hank and Dez
for a Bobwhite Quail hunt in the panhandle of Florida. Volume VI, Edition 12: During the fourth hunt in North Dakota, Dez and Hank search
for Pheasants and Sharptails in the wide open hills. Volume VI, Edition 13: Dez's wife, Karenanne Swift, joins him for the final
Hunting With Hank episode. After a beautiful hot air balloon ride, the two of them follow Hank through the southern pines of the Florida panhandle, hunting for Bobwhite
Quail.
